PACC 2017: Entrepreneurship
PAC Club returned once again with the long awaited 3 days 2 nights PAC Camp (PACC) 2017. PACC 2017 which was held from 2nd to 4th of August at KDU University College, Utropolis Glenmarie attracted many participants who were eager to know more about the journeys of a startup. There were participants from many different programmes, such as ACCA, CAT, KDU’s Business School and Culinary Arts this year!

PACC 2017's day one started off with a hopeful journey to Malaysian Global Innovation & Creative Centre (MaGIC) which was located in Cyberjaya. We were fortunate enough to be able to attend a sharing session conducted by 3 experienced entrepreneurs. They shared their journeys in becoming a successful startup.
A group picture was taken at the entrance of MaGIG to preserve our memories!
After a taste full of Malaysian savoury provided by MaGIC, participants were divided into 2 busses and departed to 2 different globally recognised audit firms, namely Ernst & Young (Group 1) and KPMG (Group 2). The firm visits were definitely eye-opening for everyone as we were given a chance to interact with our future employers and also got to tour around the firms.

Later that night, we had our opening ceremony officiated by Mr. Chan Tze Kang, Academic Department Head and Miss Laura Liong Tng Yeng, Event Director of PACC 2017. After the opening ceremony, we had our ice breaking session where participants started to get to know each other and widened their social circles. The participants certainly had a memorable night searching for their group members and facilitators.

On the second day, we attended a boxing cardio warm up session sponsored by Level Up Fitness Express+ in the morning, lead by instructor Alex Chiew with the venue sponsored by Utropolis Marketplace. It was definitely the best way to start off the day!

Participants then departed to District 21 around 8.15a.m. where they had to struggle through several difficult stations. District 21 was not the only activity that pushed them to their limits. Participants had to go through The Amazing Race prepared by the committees later that afternoon. The race undoubtedly enhanced the participants' teamwork and puzzle solving skills.

After a physically challenging day, the participants were tested mentally that night. They had to survive the Brainstorming Challenge which contained a few stages that were mind-cracking. The stages included Money Makers, Auction and Plan Analyzing. It was indeed a fruitful day for the participants!

We won't feel tired as long as there are games!
On day three, Utropolis Marketplace once again sponsored us Subways as breakfast! It was definitely the best breakfast throughout the whole PACC 2017. After a tummy filling breakfast, it was time to move on to the final stage of the Brainstorming Challenge, which was the Final Operation. We had 3 honourable representatives from ACCA, who were Ms. Melissa Tan, Ms. Lee Wee Ja and Mr. Muhammad Razin Shah to judge the Final Operation, which was a debate session.

After such a nerve wrecking session, we had the opportunity to interact with the 3 honorable judges through the Interactive Session. Other than that, we were also fortunate enough to have 3 famous entrepreneurs sharing tips in entrepreneurship with the participants during the Entrepreneurship Talk Session. The 3 generous people were none other than Mr. Hugh Koh from Pestle & Mortar, Mr. Delon Leong from Monkey Theory Sdn. Bhd. and Mr. Nicholas Liew from UBER.

In a blink of an eye, everything was over and we were all ready for the closing ceremony. We had the honour of inviting KDU’s Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Hon Wei Min to give us a closing speech. We also played the closing video dedicated to the participants, specially made by our IT team and gave out prizes to every participating team as we believe that they are all winners in our hearts.
Brought to you by the organising committees of PACC 2017!
We are very grateful towards our generous sponsors for all their contribution towards our event. This event would not have been a success without their kind contribution.
We sincerely thank all of our sponsors for making this event such a success!
